We recommend measuring yourself for the best fit. Measure around your bust at the fullest point, your waist at the narrowest part, and your hips at the fullest part. Compare your measurements to our size chart to find your perfect fit. Our sizes range from 00-40 (4XS to 4XL). If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up. What is Universal Sizing?

We thought conventional sizing seemed skewed, so we shifted the spotlight to reflect the real bell curve. If the average woman wears a size 18, then that should be called a Medium, right? Our sample size is an 18, and we engineer every single size from there to ensure the perfect fit for all of US. Our sizes range from 00-40 (4XS to 4XL in Universal Standard sizing).

What is your return and exchange policy?

We offer free shipping and fast returns. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return or exchange items through our Returns Portal at universalstandard.happyreturns.com. Exchanges are free for domestic customers. Please note that Final Sale items are not eligible for returns.

What materials does Universal Standard use?

We use premium, carefully selected fabrics for comfort and durability. Each product page displays the specific fabric composition and care instructions under the Fabric & Care section. Our materials are chosen to maintain their quality wash after wash. Common fabrics include our signature Moro Ponte, premium cotton blends, and luxurious liquid jersey.

Disappointing, Especially for the Price!

"Flannel is typically made from cotton or wool--this is polyester and rayon. The fabric is thick, soft, and strangely also stretchy. Looks like it would pill after a few washes. The fit is mostly flattering, aside from the pockets which are poorly placed and make hips look extra wide (no, thanks!). The horizontal stripes are also placed at the hip adding to the "wide load" effect. For the price of this dress I expect natural fiber and a wholly flattering fit. Sending it back!"

Pretty color

"I have to admit that I think all heavy dresses with a self-belt look like bathrobes to me. But I ordered this because of the lovely color. I tried it on and thought, "There's that bathrobe look again. " But I know that's just a weird thing with me. I finally decided, "Own it. Embrace it. They are unnecessary and even though I can tell they are meant to be able to open and be actual pockets, I don’t think many people will use them. They just create unnecessary extra bulk."
