The Dress I Want to Wear Every Day

"I’m 50, 5’10”, with broad shoulders, wide hips, and a bloating tummy. I bought both the poplin and linen versions, planning to return one, but I’m keeping both as wardrobe staples. The poplin is crisp, smooth, and soft, with enough structure to look polished without feeling stiff. The black color drapes into a clean silhouette without clinging, deemphasizes my tummy, and gives my shoulders a strong, balanced shape. The length hits me at mid-calf. Quality workmanship is in the design, it’s well made, easy to wash, and built to last for years. The style is utilitarian minimalism at its best: smart, comfortable, flattering, classy, and practical enough to wear constantly."

Easy, lightweight and versatile dress

"This dress is lightweight and has a lovely feel to it. The material has a sheen to it making it wrinkle resistant and smooth to the touch. The fabric will be easy to care for, and the stripes are very flattering. It has multiple pockets as well which is always a plus! I look forward to pairing it with different boots, belts and accessories. Great buy and a great sale."

Another win!

"The Ensign Blue color is more beautiful in person than expected. I absolutely love the dress. It’s very comfortable, fashion forward, and easy to style in multiple ways. The reason for only 4 stars instead of 5 is because at my height of 5’ 1”, the pockets fall awkwardly low, which looks odd. I’m able to hem the dress, but nothing I could do about the pockets. To make it work, and it does work, I belt the waist which brings the pockets up appx where they should be. Then it looks really great!"

I have 3 of these and LOVE them!

"I have three of these shirt dresses. I use them as long shirts or half-buttoned over slacks/denim. The material feels wonderful, has a nice subtle stretch, and the prints are eye catching and classy. I am a 2x in US and all three that I own are in that size. They are boxy (which I love) but could be worn with a belt to cinch and shape. The construction is lovely and the quality is remarkable. If I had one thought to share about this it would be this: I wish the print was on the inside and outside of the garment. Not all of us wear this closed or all the way closed and it would be amazing if the patter could be seen inside the dress."

Great but with some flaws

"I love the look of this dress and think it'd be perfect for a largely effortless but chic work outfit. That said, I had two issues with this garment: 1) the fit in the shoulders is a bit small for a M from US, which can limit movement for the broad shouldered among us and 2) the fabric. I love that this fabric is wrinkle resistant and fairly stain resistant as well (I spilled strawberry lemonade on it in transit with minimal issue getting it out), but the fabric is also rather slick, which should mean that friction is a non-issue, but in practice, it means that when carrying large bags on your shoulder (as one might do for work or a day trip), the fabric easily slides up and depending on if you're paying attention, might expose a little more thigh than you'd like. I was able to remedy this a bit by wearing it with a belt like the promo image, but I'd also love the option to go beltless. Either way, I see myself getting a lot of wear out of this dress and will likely purchase it in other colors, just with these notes in mind for future reference."
